I can confirm that 1/2-inch is the correct diameter seal for A&H hatches. I replaced mine about a year ago. Originally I ordered 5/8-inch diameter from A&H thinking bigger is better but I couldn't close the hatch with 5/8-inch seals. 3/8-inch is definitely too small.
