Well, I got the new 30 pint/day dehumidifier installed on board. It
started at 60% RH as indicated by the hygrometer which the PO had so kindly
installed. 12 hours of continuous use and the RH is down to 50%. 5-6 more
hours later and it was down to 45%. When we started we had just scrubbed
all of the cabinets of mildew so I'm sure that that added to the moisture
being drawn out. The dehumidifier, like most, has a feature to install a
garden hose. I ran mine to the bilge. It also has a digital display of
current humidity which agrees with the boat's hygrometer. I can set the
unit to turn on and off automatically or run continuously.

Between the 200w engine heater and the 300w dehumidifier there's also
plenty of extra heat to draw out the moisture.
