A lot of confusion comes from the transducer offset and whether or not it can or has been calibrated. Many owners simply know what number is too low or what number makes them uncomfortable. I've measured my draft and attempted to calibrate the offset but still get misleading information (plus or minus 3 inches) so I just make sure to be really careful less than 7 or 8 feet indicated. Draft = 6 to 6.5 feet.
