Harry If I was not allowed to do the work on my own boat I would not have a boat.
For two reasons. The first is obvious. Cost Second. Trust. There are few people I trust to work on my boats or my vehicles. I usually trust my own shoddy workmanship over that done by an unknown quantity that could be shoddy or could be good.... One of the upsides to the yard is that we allow customers/owners/captains/crew/sub-contractors to work on their boats.
