David I have a 3 HM on my 36 and it actually had spend more than a few days submerged underwater. Although in my case it filled with water slowly as the boat settled under the water. As soon as the boat came up, the engine was pickled in oil. Once the oil was pumped out, we started it right away and all is fine. I didn't have any engine troubles this year.
