We used tape about 5 years ago on my C&C 30 stripe, but painted the star. Some edge chipping and wear but still OK.
I found a reflective tape at an auto supplier, can't remember which one, that ended up being the correct width. By day it is solid red, at night it reflects red and silver in alternate bands. After the clean up of the cove it was an easy job with three people. One person held the roll at the right height and tension, a second person peeled the backing off as we went along and guided the tape, the third person firmly pressed it in. Doubt it took 5 minutes a side. We finished the tips with an X-acto knife. How long tape will it last in the sun? Where did you get the tape? Len Mitchell Crazy Legs 1989 37+
