I pump some 50/50 ethylene glycol/water mixture (same as I use for
winterizing) thru it ocaisionally, letting it sit unused overnight and all
winter during storage...mine is an electric unit that is now about 6 years
old and still cranking smooth...sometimes during the summer I also treat it
gently with 5 or 10 mL of baby oil
