When I had teak on the deck I was using Smith's clear penetrating epoxy sealer. If you're looking for a particular color then apply the color first and then top with multiple coats of CPES. I also used cetol deck stain (SDR) (siding, decks, and rails) in natural or teak - I can't remember which. The wood was already very weathered so I never sanded for either product.
The Pardee's never did anything accept "pickle" their teak with saltwater. It will be gray and natural and hold up pretty well. Best part is that you won't need to do maintenance.
