I easily spent twice what I spent for the boat before it was ready for my intended purpose. On the other hand, I know every nut, bolt, screw and wire on the boat. That comes in handy.

60K is pretty high. I hate to say it, but there isn't a lot of demand for good sailing boats that don't double as dock condos.

Before you buy a project boat, you need to have your head in the right place.
