Watch the video.  If you've been waffling about buying a new VHF radio with
an audible marine weather alert, the video will convince you to place the
order.

If there was only one electronic item I could have on Touche', it would be
a VHF with marine weather alert.

A few years ago, the Admiral and I were headed westbound just about to
leave the ICW into Mobile Bay when the weather alert came on.  There was a
nasty squall line about to cross Mobile Bay west to east.  We reversed
course and went back to a marina in the ICW.  Very glad we did.  The next
day the same thing happened.  Once again, we bailed to a marina.  Once
again we were glad we did.

We've been offshore racing and been alerted to approaching squalls at
night.  Gives you time to prepare rather than getting surprised in the
darkness with a chute up.
