Unless you have given clear carte blanc ro proceed with the job the contractor has a further responsibility to advise you of issues that would prevent the contract to be completed as awarded.

Did work myself. Used old for patterns, did work 425 miles from boat and all fit like a glove. Paid about 280 a sheet for ply, pick up at distributor. Needed two sheets. Applied epoxy to bottom and sides of all. 9 coats varnish, sand between every other coat. I estimate 10-!5 hours fabrication, 10-15 hours varnish. Two quarts varnish. The 36 has a lot of floor compared even to a 34. Five separate pieces. This is a ridiculous amount that they want. I wouldn't pay a penny over the yard estimate without really good reason.
