I would think the quality of the sound would be greatly influenced by the material it is mounted in. Fiberglass works well as a speaker cone? I wonder what the high end would be like. Bass would probably do well. And if anything else was mounted loosely it would add a bit of extra percussion at resonating frequencies. Seriously though this is an intriguing alternative. I'd like to hear how it goes.
