All,

I got rid of my key-ignition a few years ago. The engine wont start
without the battery switch on and a thief would need to break into the boat to
enable the battery. Do you really think that once someone is able to get into
your boat and start turning things on that the absence of a ignition key is
really going to stop them (or delay them all that much) in taking your boat?

Plus, in the past, I’ve had keys break on me causing a load of troubles
in the most-needed situations. So now I simply have a push-button. And I love
it.

Is the boat less secure? Maybe just a bit. But, if you put the name of
your boat 25-feet long on the sides and add a bunch of Starfleet-style graphics
on the hull (photo), I don’t think it would be a long search for the police.

        All the best,

        Edd
