Some water heater installations include a backflow preventor (check valve) sometimes they can tap or rattle a bit.
What about temperature/themal expansion. The hot water pipes in my house creek and pop as they heat and cool. They are copper not plastic like our 37+'s. I'm interested in know what you figure out.
