I agree with Allan.  I wired my instruments last year and could not figure out 
how to go directly from the mast to the panel, but it was easy to get to the 
head closet through the headliner.  The clutch mount access panel in front of 
the head door makes it easy to break it up into halves going through the 
headliner.  From the closet,  you will see a lot of wires already going to the 
panel.
