I install and service roller furlers. There are some good ones and there are some that are junk.
If I was installing a new furler on Touché, it would be a Harken MKIV. The price differential for the smaller furlers over Harken's cruising furlers isn't that great. The MKIV 's are bombproof. I've had a Harken Unit 1 MKIII on Touché for 15 years and it has performed flawlessly in all conditions. I just furled it in the last hour. Furled easily. Dennis C.
