The general similarity between acrylic floor finishes and Poly-Glow has
been noted and discussed many times. Unfortunately they differ in two
rather critical areas.
The first is that "floor finish" is formulated to sit on top of a
horizontal floor, while Poly-Glow is designed to penetrate the surface
and better adhere to vertical topsides.
The second major difference is the complete lack of UV protection
offered in floor finishes, which are intended to be used indoors. UV
protection ingredients don't come cheap, but it does slow down the aging
process of your gelcoat.
It should also be noted that in the early days of Poly-Glow they tried
marketing it to the RV market and found that this type of acrylic finish
did not hold up well to the abrasive treatment of driving down dusty
highways. After lots of bad press, they withdrew and concentrated on
marine use, where 60 MPH flying sand was not an issue.

It's amazing how many similarities there are between water yachting
and land yachting. Maintenance and upgrades are expensive -- sails vs
tires, engine replacements, steering stabilizers vs boom vangs, 30 amp
extension cords. The list goes on and on.
Many of the newer motorhomes actually have a gelcoat finish and
waxing/polishing is not much different.
One thing many RVers rave about is ZEP Wet Look Floor Finish.
Preparation is the main key to using this product.
Step 1: Start by washing your unit well as you normally would, rinsing
well from the top down.
