We just got back from the BVI's and it's true what they say, it's the sailing capital of the World. In all the anchorages where one is likely to spend the night, unless you are very adept at picking your way through the mooring field to find that patch of bottom with good holding and then are confident in setting your anchor so as not to swing into other boats and not have to worry about dragging, the cost of the mooring ball does provide some peace of mind that helps with a good night's sleep.
