Some years back, 7 of us were doing a Marblehead to Halifax Ocean race on a C&C 33 II.....there was to be no showering during the race.

I brought a small container of Johnson's Baby Powder to 'dry shower' so to speak. On day one, the rest of the crew were making fun of me, calling me a 'sissy', etc. I can take the razzing.

On the morning of day 2, the crew were asking me if they could use my 'powder' to freshen up. It doesn't beat a 'real shower' but it sure makes life more bearable for 7 'stinky sailors' on a 33' boat for 3 days.

Baby wipes are a great way to freshen up on a hot day without using any water.

In cold weather we are either showering ashore or using a pot of
hot water and a towel to wash off in the head.

For better weather we have something like this:

We set it up with a square PVC pipe top frame in the cockpit and
it works great. I am thinking of getting one of those camping
instant propane heaters for hot showers.
