A little below the waterline, the whole is cored. There are two lengthwise 
stringers, one about ½ way up the topsides and another just below the hull/deck 
joint. Also cored where the chainplates land – not sure if that is balsa or 
other material, but it is thick lamination.

 

There is a page m the manual that sketched out where to place bunks and rollers 
for trailer to ensure they land on cored area, but the core runs further that 
that diagram shows. Dana posted a copy on yahoo groups.

Does anyone know what sections or parts of the Mega hull is balsa cored?

 

The manual refers to a diagram which indicates the areas of the Mega’s bottom 
that are Balsa cored but the diagram is missing.
