I was going over John and Amanda Neal's website yesterday and reading about their offshore expeditions. They mention that the leg from Vancouver up the coast to Alaska is "one of their favourites". Combined I think they have something like 750,000 sea miles between them so they know what they're about. The first sailboat I was ever on was on the Island. We didn't get the sails up that day but I saw a seal .. I didn't know it at the time but that experience planted a seed.
