If they are Bluetooth, I question the 900 m range. BT is usually 10 m (30 ft) (Personal Area Network (PAN)) – and it should not reach further – it would cause interference with other devices. It can be a tad better on a boat (no interference, line of sight), but you might be right at the limit of range on anything bigger (30 ft plus). If they have the listed range (by boosting the transmit power), you may find some neighbours complaining about their Wi-Fi reception problems and interference with their BT devices.
