Bob, I live in Newport because it's a sailor's Mecca, pure and simple. It's a wonderful place to sail, with reliable breezes for daysails and warm temps in summer. You can get away from the slithering hordes by hanging out on our boat. And in his economic climate, 500K buys a lot of house near the water. Andy C&C 40 Peregrine
