I for one am quite happy with my electrical experiments :)
I would be a solo sailor in June, July, August, and September without the
electric fans. They make a hot humid still night at least bearable if not
comfortable. I am very happy with my LED cabin lights that produce very little
heat. I do NOT need the heat of a kerosene lantern below in the summer. The
pressure water makes showering, hand washing, and dishwashing easier and has
not really caused much trouble. Absent an engine I would not be able to stay at
my marina. Due to the narrow entrance channel, you can almost never sail in AND
sail out. If you can do one, you cannot do the other. Also engineless cruising
and having a job do not mix well here.
