Our experience with Middle "C" has been been similar to Don and others. She loves 12 to 15kts and we only reef in winds over 20kts. We have wheel steering and a stiff hand is needed on the helm at the top of this range, but nothing overwhelming. We have a 155% genoa, a slight rake at the mast and a split backstay. Cranking on the tension on the backstay in heavier, air definitely helps.
