I have a Garmin GLO which does the job. At the end I didn't want to worry about
charging two different batteries (GLO and iPad) so I switched to a cheap
Android tablet (Nextus 7) and Navionics app.

Subject: Stus-List Add-on GPS for ipads
Has anyone had experience with add-on GPS devices like the Bad Elf
www.bad-elf.com for their WiFi only iPads? Looks like most major navigation
charting systems are supported.
