Thanks. Like your description. Feel like I'm there. I used to make the pilgramage to the Outer Banks every September for two weeks at least 10 years. First to surf Cape Hatteras, later to windsurf Avon. I'd drive by Coinjock and think, what a neat spot to live.

Right now we're entering Currituck Sound, planning to go past Coinjock, NC and into Albemarle Sound and then the Alligator River. We should hit the Alligator-Pungo Canal about sunup and carry right on through to Beaufort, Nc, where we'll sit out a rather nasty low that's coming up the coast with very strong winds and lots of rain. I expect we'll head offshore on Thursday with nice northerlies. Peregrine is all put away in Portsmouth, Ri. But don't think I haven't considered how much fun it would be to do this in my boat!
