Does that mean some planned obsolescence was part of the design?
*I like Practical Sailor, a publication not given to hyperbole or sweeping
statements, but that remark seems odd.*

*Did G&G C.,  Rob Ball, et al. have a boat longevity in mind when
designing/building our magnificent  sailboats?*
