David;

The vent for your holding tank will be a plastic, zinc, or stainless hooded
vent like the ones for your fuel tank and water tank(s). You will probably
find it just under the toe rail on the side of your boat above/ near where
the holding tank is located. On both of my boats, the vent is located in the
top rear of a locker for access. Normally the vent has a short threaded
length with a washer and nut on the inside to hold it in the hull. There
should be a hose barb sticking out of the fitting, and that is the top end
of your vent hose.

As I recommended before, look for a plugged screen in the vent on the
outside of the hull before you look at anything else. Unless you don't have
spiders and wasps where you live.

As to the vent, I think I can get to the bottom of the vent line fairly
easily. I doubt I can reach the other end from inside. How is the vent cap
attached to the hull? Can I take it off and get to that end of the hose if
replacement is needed?  Dave
