The shop where I had my boat recently repaired said they were amazed that damage was restricted to just the keel itself, the hull/keel joint and the rudder and rudder shaft. There was no damage whatsoever to the hull anywhere. They also said they see all sorts of boats and the older C&C's are the toughest. They specifically mentioned Hunter, Catalina and Beneteau, old or new, as being boats that would have had severe damage to the sump and rudder support areas of the hull. This was offered, not asked.
