Honey is a 1975 C&C TM hull # 69, she is currently listed for USD
60,000.00.

She has: in 2013 a brand new Edson steering system, a brand new Furno 1835
Color radar, deck & non-skid paint, all 3 Fuller Brush (2 small & 1 large)
port lights replaced, all 12 Barient s/s winches rebuilt. Bottom stripped,
coated, faired (as was the rudder & keel) and Kucoat paint applied in
April 2013. Also, all deck teak varnished. We have covers for all of the wood
on deck. New Signet (duplicated port & starboard) wind instruments &
fathometers (2) still under warranty.

In 2012 she received a complete suit of UK gold series race sails (as new)
(UK replaced all standing & running rigging, complete hull (topsides)
painted by Hinckley/Savannah, new Max prop (plus 2 spare Martec s/s props, 1 x
3 blade feathering and a geared folder) a Forespar carbon fiver spinnaker
pole, IBM lap top running the Nobeltec software off of a dedicated Furno
GPS, etc, etc....A complete suit of UK Silver series cruising sails in 2010
(very good shape) plus a sail locker fill of North sales as well as others.

The dinghies (Avon 310 RIB w/15 HP 4 stroke Yamaha (less than 1 hour run
time) and a Cape Dory 10 sailing dinghy painted to match Honey are not
included in the sale.

The original builder's file and all log books, warranty papers, etc will be
included as well as a garage full of spare parts, sheets, running rigging
as well.

I only want back what I have spent in the past 2 and a half years. The boat
is basically in Bristol condition as we have owned her since 1976, she has
a current (July 2013) survey,

I really hate to see her go, but I rarely sail here these days (6 times
since April) and I want to buy a larger airplane so I will either sell her and
if that fall through we have plans (via our tax people) to donate her and
take the tax break. The name does not go with her nor can she be sold to
anyone in Savannah.

If you guy has interest have him contact me offline & I will hook hiw up
with my broker.

What are you asking, Jack? One of my pals is looking to move up from his
C&C 36. He's thinking about a 40, but should probably consider the 39, too.

Thank you all guys for sharing your opinions.
They are appreciated very much.
The actual deal breaker for me happened today afternoon spending some time
at my dock looking at identical Beneteau 331 and Catalina 34 mk2. There is
something about Catalinas that strikes my chord... Your opinions confirmed
my feelings.
I am inclined towards Cat 320, ~2000 vintage, but still opened to
suggestions.

Water pump for Universal - ~$200
Water pump for Volvo - $600++
Starter for Volvo - $600++

In other words, take $$ for Universal or Yanmar part and multiply by 2 or
3 to get Volvo part price.

I'm assuming the 331 has a newer Volvo. If it's an older Volvo, it's an
anchor.

My opinion, look at a Catalina 309. Much nicer boat.

The parts for the Volvo diesel are VERY, VERYexpensive for sucha cheap
engine.I agree with the below assessment that the B 331 is indeed a pig to
sail IMHO is just a over blown Bayliner with a fancy name. This is not an
example of the finer Beneteau boats.

Don't know about the Volvo diesel, but the B331 is a pig under sail.

Make sure you get a good sea trial so you know what you're getting
into before you lay down a bunch of dough.
