Hello Alan.....Lloyd Lippe here.....

First I want to say that I have been so impressed with Fred and his knowledge
at so many levels....and I am so appreciative of all his help .... and yes...I
will be more than happy to share any and all information of my new system. It
is still in the mid-90's here along the Texas coast and the gentleman who will
be installing my system is Canadian and who still has a hard time in this
heat....so my installation is probably a few weeks away till the cooler October
weather starts to settle in.

Please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

What other electronics have you got on the boat, specifically
chartplotter/MFD? They'll all talk to each other in some way, but if your MFD
supports NMEA2000, for instance, you'd be better going that route for the AIS
transponder, in my opinion.

I just sold a nice all-Raymarine setup to Lloyd Lippe on this list -- once he
gets it all installed, he can chip in with his opinion.

I am interested in installing a Class B AIS Transponder on my boat. I'd
like to hear from anyone who has done this. Specifically I'd like to know the
brand, model, what you like or dislike about it, and why you chose that
particular brand and model.
