Will there be a summary or wrap up (with photos please) for those of us who are
stuck in the hinterlands and unable to make it there?

Rob, thank you for organizing this event! We had a lovely time amongst some
great boats and people. Apologies for not managing to empty the keg; will try
harder next time.

We finally left BI this morning, now in Montauk.

Lori and I had a great time as well. Thanks to Rob and the other organizers
for a great event. I think the C&C hats and engraved plaques was a particular
unexpected bonus. Touring all the other boats was a special treat. It was our
first cruise and our first cruise on our "new" boat and we learned an enormous
amount from being around so many knowledgable sailors. We were a bit nervous
about the trip back bit it was relatively uneventful except for the surprise of
it blowing 25 gusting to 40 coming from the North straight from the time we hit
Mystic. Of course I had already taken the reef out of the main as it lightened
between Watch Hill and Mystic, so we had a bit of a wild ride for a while
there. I experienced Rob Ball's "tendency for the boat to round up when
healed" problem in extreme in some of the puffs. I checked the forecast and it
was blowing 10-15 everywhere along the CT/RI/MA coast except New London area.
Strange but typical. We always seem to have more wind than the predictions
(and I am not complaining).

For those who had boats there, please send my your name and boat name so I can
make sure to match up correctly. I don't trust my memory for names. If you
were not at the dock and can send my a boat photo, I will add it to my
pictures. I will distribute a montage or slideshow to attendees and everyone
who wants it and will talk to Stu about having a picture database on the web
site. Can't wait for the next one! Dave

C&C yachts, Good Old Boat Magazine, Mohegan Sun, Rob Ball, David Risch, those
who came by boat, plane and ferry, happy sailing to all and to all a good night

Till next year...
