Try removing anything bonded with 5200 to your gelcoat as easily as Butyl.  It isn't going to happen.

Nobody uses butyl tape except those guys that buy the stuff off that guy on sailnet.
Get a grip people!
Sikaflex / 4200 / 5200 and lots of other sealers are waaay better than butyl.
