I think you need to differentiate a mast step rebuild and a hull repair. The 35 MK I and MK 2 basically have a "high tech" piece of wood that was likely sitting around the scrap pile at the factory. IIRC, the MK III had an issue with the actual keel sump UNDER the mast step separating from the hull or something like that and it is vastly harder to repair.

A previous contributer was mentioned, who described his first hand experience with this issue, and the related cost. Is there a way to search older posts to try to locate this post? Do you think that if a boat does not exihibit this mast step problem right now (if that what the survey shows when it's done in the next week or so), that the problem could still occur in the future? Or is it a case in which if the problem hasn't shown up by now, this particular boat will likely not have the problem later? Thank you again for your help and courtesy. _______________________________________________ This List is provided by the C&C Photo Album http://www.cncphotoalbum.com CnC-List@cnc-list.com<mailto:CnC-List@cnc-list.com> -- Joel 301 541 8551
