I really like the Crystalline line of rope from Yale. For what it is worth
Practical Sailor did a dollars to stretch comparison a few years ago and
the Crystalline had one of best ratings/ratios. About a month ago I
finally decided that the fishhooks in my wire halyards had to go. A
renewed look at the options showed the three top contenders NER V100, Yale
Crystalline, and Sampson Warpspeed. I compared prices for all my options
at APSltd.com and then drove there to compare in person. The Crystalline
came in at $2.19 for 3/8" with an 11,000lbs rating. The stretch is
supposed to be 0.25% at 1000lbs of tension or about 1.5" over 50 feet.
Something I kind wish I had thought to do is use cheaper and maybe thinner
line for the bottom half of the halyard. During the hoist the only time
you really need to be concerned with stretch is the final foot or so. I
needed two lengths about 125' so I walked out about $500 lighter.

Good luck,

I've been very satisfied with the quality but some people may not like how
stiff the rope is.
