I am planning to stop in Pt Judith on my way from Stonington to Cuttyhunk and planning to anchor. I have heard that holding in Pt Judith is not great. Could any listers with recent experience of Pt Judith offer me any practical advice? Is it worth going up the channel to the anchorage north of Plato Island? I am not looking for any services etc, just a safe place to stop overnight?
