Like Joe said, there isn't a lot of "cruising" in Bermuda. There are
a number of anchorages but outside of the yacht clubs and St. George's
harbour, you won't see many transients. Many transients or racers
simply stay in St. George's. (Which is like going to NYC and staying
in Queen's the whole time)

If you sail there though, it's certainly worthwhile to bring the boat
over to Hamilton. . From Hamilton, you can get to any place on the
island by bus, taxi, or rented scooter. (No rental cars in BDA).

There's good diving, snorkeling, eating, beaches, and more. Just be
aware that it ain't cheap there. Everything on the island is
shipped/flown in and there's a 30% duty (plus freight) on imports.

If I was planning a trip, I would think 2 weeks to explore the island
would be plenty. Sail over, explore, sail home - would be a great 4
week vacation. Just do it early enough to avoid hurricane season.

A better trip (if you have time) would be Norfolk to BDA late in the
season. (Nov 1). Hang out for a while and then sail BDA to BVI over
Christmas. (But then all of a sudden it's New Year's and you're
"stuck" in the BVI. That would suck.)

Cheers
Colin
