I'm re-installing my resealed transmission this coming weekend and
considering trying to replace the aft engine oil seal (which has always
leaked some) at the same time. I will be lifting the engine into either the
salon or up into the cockpit (my first time for pulling engine adventures).

With the transmission already removed, this means removing the clutch
plate, the flywheel, and "gently" prying out the old seal. Anyone done this
repair? Any advice to offer? Our local mechanics are too busy (unless I
bring them the engine) - but one suggested I buy a "slide hammer" to pry
out the old seal....
