All the talk is that I will need crew on the rail. It is going to be a lot
different that the 35. I am looking forward to the first big surf with tthe

I crewed on a Laser 28 many years ago. The owner moved up from a Catalina 27.
The Laser was more like a large dinghy. Fast but tender. Upwind you had to
play the mainsheet more than the traveler to allow the main to twist.

I am looking at a Laser 28. Still reasonable headroom. PHRF about the same
as the C&C. I like the Andrews , but it is a little pricy.

If you replace with a MacGregor you wont have to worry about flags anymore
(or is that a Tattoo?)

What are you getting? Andrews 28 for sail on East Coast is a great
trailerable. New J88 trailerable but needs crane. J70/Melges 24 etc trailer
launchable and fast. S2 7.9 traditional trailerable boat. Hobie 33 a great
trailerable boat if you like being wet. The choices are endless!

  Mike

  PS. The flags are yours

I am in the process of selling my boat. I am looking at something smaller
and on a trailer. What is the protocol for all the racing flags Ragtime has
won. Do they go with the boat, can they be displayed on a future boat of mine,
or will they stay in a box in the basement?
