There is a software called "What's Where" that is intended to do just what you're asking.
It has been recommended to me by some long term cruisers in the local Power Squadron. I think it is shareware and the cost reasonable. I've been told it lets you input a graphic of your boat so you can label each of the storage locations, then you build a database of spares that is searchable by what you need or by location. I've not bought the software or used it yet, but based on the recommendation I'll probably do that over the next month or so. I am no exception. In fact my wife thinks I am pack rat. When locating or remembering what I have on board became a problem I inventoried everything and wrote up a list of where it is stowed. While this has helped, it is not easy to use when looking for a particular item since I have inventoried items by the locker where it is stowed. Thus, when I want to find a particular item I have to search the inventory in each locker. Creating a cross reference would help, but I find that task a little daunting. This brings me to the point of this email. Do any of you have a computer program to list and locate your stuff on board? Fred Hazzard S/V Fury C&C 44 Portland, Or
