Last week I couldn't get a new hose 2" connected to a new mixing elbow....tried everything suggested except a 'pipe expander'.....solution turned out was to get a 'softer hose' and a 'heat gun'....still not an easy job but now done....now, if it comes apart or any other malfeasance, it won't be me doing the repair....that was my first time and last time! The tradesmen that do this for a living are not overpaid, in my opinion!

The hose I wanted initially but wasn't in stock (Shieldsflex II Marine Exhaust Hose SAE J2006R2) ......that's what I successfully used today.

The hose I bought first was Bellowflex SAE J1527 Marine Exhaust Hose Type A2.......way to stiff for my application.....better and more expensive is not always the way to go....lesson learned.
