FWIW, the way I mounted mine was simply strapping it onto a keel bolt with tie-wraps. If yours don't stick up like mine do (3") you could just get a nut and bolt and screw a few threads onto the top of what you have and screw the bolt into the remaining few threads of the nut and snug it.
