FWIW I got quoted $450 to duplicate the 4 fixed ports on my 35-3 using the
old ones as templates at the local plastics place. In the end I went DIY.
Ordered 3/8 cast acrylic in dark gray- '2074' on ebay from
http://stores.ebay.com/POP-DISPLAYS They will do the rough cuts for free
-you just have to figure out how to lay things out efficiently. I was
surprised to find that what I thought were the parallel sides really weren't
quite. Not a problem if you just do the rough cut to the max width. Did the
final cuts on my cheapo table saw w/o a problem (but it does have a nice
carbide blade with lots of teeth). So in the end I got the four lights PLUS
the front hatch for $240 delivered plus $27 for a nice chamfer router bit.
Router chamfered the edges like butter. Belt sander rounded the corners as
needed. My reward for saving a couple hundred was that I spent today (sunny
and 70's) up to my elbows in Dow 795...... What a mess.....
