Fred,

If you get the generic Airmars with NMEA 2000 connectors instead of the Ray
branded Airmars you can save $100 or so per transducer. Defender sells a
NMEA 2000 Seatalk Ng cable. If you need Seatalk Ng connectors contact me
offline. I've got stuff laying around.

Fred. I strongly recommend not trying to save a few bucks (relatively
speaking) by trying to use existing transducers. The only one that might
work is the depth ducer. Not worth the potential hassles and uncertainty.
Get shiny new ones!

I am replacing my very old KVH instrument system with newer Raymarine
instruments. I am told if I have Airmar transducers I can buy a converter
to make them talk to the Seatalk system. Can someone tell me if KVH used
Airmar transducers? I have depth, speed and wind transducers.

Thanks
