I used to use vodka ( cheap) in my cape dory 27 with only the galley sink - it
only needed just over a liter- but my 34 requires a few gallons so it was back
to anti freeze and the annual fresh water flush

Winter's over so now it's time to start getting all the winterized systems
ready to use. Has anyone got any good way to get the antifreeze taste out of
the water system, other than just repeated flushing with fresh water?
A pal of mine suggests that the best way to winterize the FW system is with
(cheap) Vodka. Can anyone think of a reason that wouldn't work? You certainly
wouldn't have the hassle of flushing the system in the spring. I wonder if the
alcohol would rot to rubber in the pump?
