I¹m a slow learner, I guess, but two years ago I finally realized that if I just store the Lifesling in the cockpit locker while I¹m not using the boat, it cuts down on UV deterioration considerably. I have a new case from West Marine which I expect to last a long time.
Hauler: We have used a snatch block on the toe rail through which runs a line attached to the jib sheet with another snatch block. This line is lead back to the secondary winch. It has worked well for years both with and without the whisker pole. We use it just like a twing on a spinnaker and it pulls down on the sheet adjusting the curve of the leech on the genoa...boosts speed off the wind noticeably. Ken Rodmell Lotus C&C 35 MKII Toronto
