You might be right. I'll have to measure.

 

I saw the Spinex at the show.  The slogan was something like "you need balls
to furl a spinnaker".  It is one of the pricier furlers I saw.

I put a shackle on the stem fitting per the suggestion of others on the
list.  I currently use a snatch block and control line to attach to the
shackle, so I would use the snap shackle on the furler to attach to the
control line.
