I learned that long ago when my Seiko with similar strap fell on to the
foredeck of my boat.  I use a $20 timex as my race watch and my skiing
watch for that reason.
 
This one has sentimental value though.  Also I suspect it has more
functionality than my Timex.  Memosail seem to be very high end watches
but the best known ones are from the seventies or 90s.

Mike, I can't help other than to advise that the straps on those things
had a habit of letting go at inopportune times. Watched a fellow Laser
sailors go bloop during a start one day!
