I would like to second the nomination of Dave Risch and John Read to do all
the work again this year. If at ain't broke, don't fix it.
All in favor say AYE!

I will volunteer to take care of getting the dock bar sorted and make sure
we have plenty of mixers and ice to get things started. Again, if it ain't
broke...

I also pledge a keg of fine ale if we get at least 16 boats to show up
again.

My suggestions:
Date:
Fri. Sept 13th thru Sunday Sept 15

I'm gonna throw out suggestions for a spot:
1. Great Salt Pond, Block Island, RI. I am reasonably sure that the boat
basin will give us a group discount on slips as after Labor Day it slows to
a crawl on Block Isl. Plus, the mooring field is pretty empty so anyone
who wanted a mooring could stay right in front of The Oar. The food and
drinks at The Oar are very reasonable and very good. There are BBQ grills
and tables at the end of the dock for public use. We could have a pot luck
BBQ one day?

2. Milford Landing, Milford, CT. Milford Landing is the town dock in
Milford. They have 40 transient slips that are a short walk from a vibrant
little town. They have an off season rate ($2.25ft/floating docks I think)
No shortage of bars, restaurants and the like. Farther down the sound for
the "Westerners" but not out of reach for some of us coming from back East.

If I could pick a spot it would be Block Island, but I know that for some
it's a galaxy far, far away... ooops that was Star Wars reference :(

Did I mention the keg of fine ale?
